Common questions

How does GlucoScan work?

Snap or choose a photo of your meal. GlucoScan analyzes the image and returns an estimated blood sugar impact score, nutrition breakdown, detected ingredients, and practical swaps.

Are the results medically accurate?

No. Results are AI-generated estimates for educational purposes only. GlucoScan is not a medical device and should not replace advice from your doctor, dietitian, or care team.

Why can’t I scan more meals today?

Free use includes a daily scan limit. When you reach it, scanning unlocks again the next day. History you already saved remains available on your device.

Where is my scan history stored?

Scan history and preferences are stored locally on your device. Deleting a scan removes it from the app. Uninstalling the app or clearing app data may permanently remove local history.

The camera or photo picker won’t open

Make sure GlucoScan has camera and photo library permission in your device settings. Restart the app after updating permissions. If the issue continues, email us with your device and OS version.

A scan failed or the result looks wrong

Try a clearer photo with good lighting and the full plate in frame. Avoid heavy filters or photos of packaged labels alone. If analysis keeps failing, contact support and describe what you saw.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete individual history entries inside the app. To remove remaining on-device data, uninstall GlucoScan or clear the app’s storage from your device settings.
